DESCRIPTION

CASE STUDY

The Rollins Center for Language and Literacy, The Atlanta Speech School, The Cox Foundation and many other generous and brilliant people have come together with a shared passion for closing the reading gap that can lead to a life of poverty. Read Right from the Start is a website that provides free online education for teachers. The Read Right from the Start method is an innovative way to bridge the reading gap through early language acquisition.

My team conducted interviews, ethnography studies and persona development to make sure we were building the right thing for this important cause. Early on we realized we also needed to create not just the eLearning site but a marketing site to help meet business goals and objectives. We crafted wireframes and prototypes and tested them. Following the initial research and discovery phase, I rejoined the development team on this project to ensure we were still meeting objectives and validate design assumptions. This award winning site is providing free teacher instruction that is changing the lives of the students they teach.
